Our mission statement

Everything we do exists to support the rider, the journey and the community that grows from both.

The motorcycle may bring us together, but it is trust, integrity and shared experience that keep us together.

At the end of every ride, every decision and every conversation, we return to the same simple idea:

It’s just you and a road.

About us

Our Vision

To inspire Australia's long-distance motorcycle riders to explore further, ride safely and create journeys worth remembering.

Our Purpose

To create opportunities for riders to challenge themselves, discover new roads, build lasting friendships and belong to a community founded on trust, respect and personal responsibility.

Our Values

Our values define who we are, how we ride and how we govern ourselves.

Our Compass

Our course is set not by rules, but by our values.

Our values

The FARRIDERS Values

These values are the foundation of every decision we make and the standard by which we measure our conduct.

F – Fairness

Treat every rider with courtesy, impartiality and consistency. Honour the commitments we make, whether publicly or privately, and when circumstances require change, communicate openly and consult those affected wherever practicable. Fairness is measured not only by equal treatment, but by being trustworthy and true to our word.

A – Accountability

Own your actions, your decisions and your contribution to the community. Accept responsibility, learn from experience and honour your commitments. Accountability builds confidence in one another and in FarRiders itself.

R – Respect

Value people with different experience, opinions and ambitions. Listen generously, disagree respectfully and encourage others to enjoy the ride in their own way. Respect creates a community where everyone feels welcome.

R – Responsibility

Take responsibility for your riding, your preparation and your safety. Ride within your limits, obey the law and make sound decisions on the road. Responsibility protects both the individual rider and the reputation of our community.

I – Integrity

Be honest in your conduct, your ride documentation and your dealings with others. Represent your achievements truthfully and respect the verification process. Integrity gives every recognised ride its value.

D – Discovery

Embrace the spirit of exploration and lifelong learning. Seek new roads, new experiences and opportunities to develop your skills and broaden your horizons. Discovery is what turns distance into adventure.

E – Excellence

Strive to be the best rider, organiser and community member you can be. Pursue continual improvement rather than perfection, and share your knowledge with others. Excellence raises the standard for everyone.

R – Resilience

Conditions change. Plans change. Weather changes. Adapt, learn and keep moving forward safely. Know the signs of fatigue, deteriorating conditions and impaired judgement, and have the wisdom to pause or stop. Sometimes the strongest decision is not to finish, but to recover and ride another day.

S – Stewardship

Leave FarRiders stronger than you found it. Protect its reputation, support its people and preserve its history for those who follow. Stewardship ensures the community will continue to thrive for generations of riders to come.
